FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (APRIL 28, 2010) – The BRAC Regional Task Force has unveiled a customized, searchable Web page where interested business developers, military contractors and others may research available industrial buildings and sites in the 11-county BRAC region.
“The North Carolina Department of Commerce worked closely with our regional economic developers to create a customized version of the state’s buildings and sites database,” said John Harbison, interim executive director of the BRAC Regional Task Force.
Included in this database are manufacturing, warehouse, office and specialty-type buildings available in Bladen, Cumberland, Harnett, Hoke, Lee, Montgomery, Moore, Richmond, Robeson, Sampson, and Scotland counties. The site has a mapping tool that will give the location and building site and include street view if available in Google maps. Custom reports for more specific data such as demographics and ring studies can be generated for each county.
“The region is attractive to defense companies, businesses that support our military installations and industry with military ties to the state. The new BRAC Region Buildings and Sites Web page offers these prospects an easy and convenient way to search for a facility or land,” said Harbison.
The BRAC Region Buildings and Sites link is available on the BRAC RTF home page: www.bracrtf.com.
